A berry refreshing specialty cocktail you'll want to sip on all summer!
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
1
Making the Strawberry-Balsamic Shrub
Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir until the sugar is dissolved
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 5 to 8 days, stirring occasionally
Give it a taste | If the mixture seems too acidic, add more sugar in spoonfuls as needed
Strain the shrub through a fine-mesh sieve into a bottle with a lid, extracting as much liquid as possible | Discard the solids
Seal and store the shrub in the fridge for up to 6 months
Shake before using
2
Assemble the Cocktail
In a highball or Collins glass, combine the strawberries, lime, basil and shrub
Muddle until the strawberries and basil are completely broken down
Fill the glass three-quarters full with ice
Add the cachaça, stir, garnish with the basil sprig and strawberry and enjoy
