OTM Steak Sauce

Notes from the Chef: if you like your steak sauce with more heat, we recommend adding 2 T of sriracha. While we use homemade tomato sauce, your favorite jarred brand will do.

METHOD

1

  • In a small sauce pot, warm the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add onions, garlic and salt and sauteé until translucent (roughly 3 minutes).
  • Reduce the heat to low and add the brown sugar.
  • Cook until a rich dark color is achieved - about 4 minutes.
  • Add red wine vinegar and cook an additional minute. Add worcestershire and tomato sauce. Cook for 10 minutes stirring often to avoid and sticking.
  • Reduce until the sauce has thickened and remove from heat.
  • Add horseradish and serve with your favorite cut of meat!
